While the property market in Mallorca slows down, Palma's old city centre real estate market booms again

As owners of a property in Palma de Mallorca you will soon learn that the city is sometimes referred to simply as Ciutat of Palma (City). Palma is Majorca's capital city and offers its many thousands of visitors a glorious selection of history, culture and cuisine.

Palma property owners agree it's a foot-friendly city and all the essential sites are arranged compactly around the north-central thoroughfare called Passeig des Born. Palma's Castell de Bellver (Bellver Castle) was begun in 1309 and sits proudly on the hills overlooking the city and the sea beyond. There are two covered markets in Palma and the smaller one Santa Catalina is found on the far side of the river just past the gardens of Plaza La Feixina. The larger market is in the opposite direction past Plaza Major. For those looking for a real flee market then the area near Plaza Porta D'es Camp at the bottom end of the avenue is the place to go on a Saturday morning. By owning a property in Palma de Majorca you could benefit from a vast array of shops ranging from the large high street names to small designer boutiques.
